What happens when you finally get what you wish for? Come find out with Schaumburg High School’s 2018 musical production of “Into The Woods”. Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, a baker & his wife all head into the forest in pursuit of their dreams. But a witch, a wolf, a giant & a beanstalk send their quests down roads they weren't expecting. Great acting, lovely voices and a classic score by Stephen Sondheim all make for a captivating performance in the Schaumburg High School auditorium. Showtimes are at 7PM on Thursday April 19 and Friday April 20, and at 12PM and 7PM on Saturday April 21. Prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students or senior citizens. Auditions are open to all Schaumburg students, but a majority of the cast is chosen from students enrolled in choral music classes. Rehearsals are usually after school and some evenings, preparing for four performances that require about a two-month block of time. Any student may work on set, makeup and other production activities. The pit orchestra is chosen from interested students in both band and orchestra. Cast size varies from production to production. Past musicals have included “Hello Dolly,” “Guys and Dolls,” "Big Fish," and “Cabaret.”
