Forensics, or individual speech events, affords students the opportunity to compete on Saturdays before small audiences in twelve different categories. Events range from public speaking (oration declamation), “original category,” extemporaneous current events, special occasion speaking, acting (dramatic and humorous duet acting, original comedy sketches), and interpretation (dramatic and humorous interpretation of plays, verse, and prose), and radio broadcasting. Awards are given to students judged best in their categories in 3 -5 rounds.
